oo myy goddddd ..... i had to find amrutanjan to see this complete movie .... i mean it ... i really had big headache after 2 hours of watching this movie and there was even then some bullshit that was remaining that i wanted to go through just because it's a Karan Johar movie and I am a big fan of KKHH ....

hmphhh .... all i can say you can watch it once ... not more than it ... and even if you miss this once you have not missed 'a movie' ... most of it I find crap going in super duper slow motion ..... but i may be wrong and some of sensitive married person reading this may connect to .... as Rashmi puts it ...

Anyone under 25 and not married will find it difficult to relate to the film in the first place. Whereas the shaadi-shuda types will feel a connect - esp the conversations between Maya and Rishi on the need to have 'discussions' for example.

I liked just one scene in the movie (BUZZER !! SPOILER ALERT!!) ... where everybody is taking dinner ... Amitabh says a bold PJ (i m getting married) ... everybody is concerned and tensed ... Amitabh looks at SRK and says to her mother .. "just a joke .. your son's sense of humour is so poor" ... after a couple of minutes SRK breaks his silence and tells everybody that he in love with Rani Mukherjee in almost the same line as Amitabh put the joke earlier .... ... and everybody again gets concerned ... then he says to Amitabh .. "sir .. what happened to ur sense of humour .. it's a joke" ...

audience like me knew it was true and not a joke .. and for some reason i found it so ironic and touching ... (the character of Amitabh was smart enough to read SRK's eyes and know that he is talking truth and not a joke) ....

you must be knowing that KANK is picturised in NY but there is not much NY in this movie ... but even then it reminds me much of NY ... that is the city to be in ... there is something about that city that separates it from the rest of the world ...

I heard some good reviews about Ahista Ahista on internet .... i am so much cut off from the world that I did not know that a movie with this name is going to be released ...

.... then seeing the trailer i was scratching my head who is this girl .. i have seen her in some movie and i liked her also ... who is the girl who is the girl .. then almost when i lost hopes to remember .. "tu bin bataye mujhe le chal kahin" .. omg .. she is the gorgeous from RDB .... cool .. i m more in love with this beatiful this song than Ms. Soma (cough) ... anyways no i have one more reason to watch this movie ....

Pardes is one of my all time favourite movies. It is on the subject of NRIs, Swades, Pardes, Indian culture, US culture blah blah blah .... but these days I have become more interested in knowing about the places/cities where my fav movie has been filmed ... my geogprahiya knowledge about US is much more better now than it was earlier say 6 months back ...

Hmmm ... I am interested to know about the cities and places in US where this movie is picturised .... which is the city where Amrish Puri & family lives in the core part of the movie ... which is the bridge where Shahrukh khan drives car when "Yeh Dil" song starts ... it may be possible that the Bridge is not in the city where the movie is based upon (not a big deal in bollywood movies as I know, me & my PL from last project noticed this in HUM TUM which I would blog some other time) ....

anyways .. if I try to recollect the movie (i watched it long back) .. i think i heard words like Los Angeles in the movie ... there was a scene where Mahima and Apurva Agnihotri where sitting in Casinos .. so that city can be Las Vegas .... hmmm ... I can watch Pardes again but too lazy to get a DVD from somewhere .... so Armed with these questions I started googling like I always do ....

And surely the presentation of American Born South Asians isn't correct, as with this movie most people in the subcontient will feel as though American Born South Asian Males are all flirts and have hundreds of girlfriends.

And whats up with the showing of a Vancouver bridge in Los Angeles? Why not just show a bridge in Los Angeles.

enough is enough ..... i'have had it with these motherf***** snakes on this motherf***** plane .... now i m gonna open some f**** windows ....

i watched SOAP friday night and frm that moment on I am re-iterating and repeating this famous motherf*** dialogue .... it seems Samuel L. Jackson uses this moth***** word at least in his every movie :) .... one of my friend told me that he is the only person in hollywood who can use this word twice in a sentence very 'naturally' ... WTF !!?? ... good hai ....

there was one moment in the movie where I literally jumped in the chair ... (caution: this is a little spoiler) ... first pilot of the plane is bitten dead by a snake .... itz now second pilot who is in the cockpit and also got bit and fell down ... then the heroin comes to the cockpit and see pilot is not there ... she opens up the door going downstairs to investigate .. i was expecting she would see dead pilot's body and would be surprised ... but the snake jumps out to the camera and at this moment me jumped out frm my chair ... my friend Dhanapaal started laughing at me and I sheepishly said "man .. i did not expect this in this scene " ...

hmphhhh ... good movie .... watch it at least once ...

i got a chance to watch this movie today and it's f**ing awesome ... i have read reviews on net praising Ajay Devgan's work and Saif's work ... but if u ask me it is Kareena who is jaan of this movie .. and this movie is about her character and not anybody else ... (anybody who has watched movie would agree to me instantly but nobody in this male dominated society would give credit to Kareena) ..

she is getting gorgeous day by day and her acting is also getting more 'sunehra' now ... the best scene in the movie is when (BUZZER!! SPOILERS AHEAD!!) Ajay Devgan asks her where is the 'gehna' that he has given her (sorry i forgot what it is called ... pairband or something) ... and Kareena starts weeping and sobbing with 'hitchkiyaan' .. the 'hitchkiyan' in this scene as performed by Kareena are so real ... girls weep like this only ... dont ask me how do i know but girls weep like this only with a lot of 'hitchkiyaan' ... i really felt so bad for Kareena during this scene and so pissed off from Ajay Devgan's character to have 'shak' on that 'masoom girl' ...

other ironic scene is during climax .. when on suhag raat's bed ajay devgan comes and starts blaming her for such a 'cheap girl' for having affair with Vivek Oberoi .. itz again such an ironic scene as she was totally 'pavitra' :) and innocent ... Kareena was waiting there with so many dreams and WTF was happening with her ...

the climax is where (HERE IT COMES :)) Ajay Devgan kills her on the suhag raat bed ... f***ing cruesome and ironic ....

I read couple of discussion forums after I saw that video whr some ppl think she has got 'attitude problem' .. what the heck ... I think the people who even think that does not know the meaning of attitude ..

Dave was trying to hit aishwarya below belt and she responded very well i think ... she is not that kind of person .. to me she is a typical indian girl - submissive and defensive, but when it comes to pride "no compromises" ... :) .. (i think I miss all of them here at US :) ) ....

"You ask stupid questions, you get stupid answers". Americans dont understand the concept of living with parents, what if an American star on an Indian TV show were asked, "Is it usual for American parents to throw their children out of their homes when they grow up?" Indians are usually not rude to begin with and would rephrase any such question in a non-offensive way even if it was absolutely necessary, whether born in India or USA. If Aishwarya was rude for his rude questions, thats an American trait in this doggy-dog's world, so thank Americans for teaching that to Indians, which unfortunately the British didnt. We dont make any more "Gandhis" in India now. We expect Aishwarya to be "perfect", be it her looks, her acting, her style, her communication skills, her knowledge, the list is endless. I dont think we shouldnt be pressuring her so much with criticism, I dont think she ever claimed to be a "Ken Jennings", so we shouldnt expect that from her. Not like Indians know much about India, so Indians not knowing something thats not Indian shouldnt be so alarming, forget being surprised. You guys want to prove that you know a little more than Aishwarya, go ahead, but you still are a no-name like me, remember that. As an Indian I implore you to stand by Indians who at least do India proud, if not anyone else, thanks."
